Dr. Arnaldo Jimenez and our team are pleased to perform microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) at our med spa in Milton, GA. Microneedling uses multiple fine-gauge needles to effectively and safely make "micro-injuries" in the skin. These tiny channels trigger the natural production of elastin and collagen, two nutrients that improve the health and appearance of your skin while also allowing skin-nourishing serums to penetrate deeper. Often combined with other skin treatments, such as serums or platelet-rich plasma (PRP), microneedling can effectively reduce the appearance of scars, pores, and stretch marks. How Does Microneedling Work?
Microneedling treatments at First Body are carried out using our practice's sophisticated SkinPen® technology. After applying numbing cream (if necessary) to your face, a member of our team will gently roll the handheld SkinPen applicator over the skin to create microchannels. Once the microneedling portion of the procedure is complete, we may massage a serum and/or vitamin infusion into the skin so it can be absorbed deep down into the layers. We also commonly apply moisturizers and other lotions to provide your skin with protection from damaging UV rays as it heals.
