Our Injection Technique
After your consult to create your unique treatment plan, you can receive your Sculptra injections in our private procedure rooms. Your injector can use a numbing cream or local anesthetic before cleaning and marking the sites to be injected. Once you are prepared, Sculptra is injected into the deeper layers of the skin at the selected sites. For longer-lasting results, Dr. Arnaldo Jimenez recommends a series of four injections that are each performed at First Body about three weeks apart.
What to Expect
Following your Sculptra treatment, you may experience mild or moderate swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection areas that should resolve naturally in 3 – 5 days. To encourage healing, you can apply cold packs to the injection sites. You should limit UV exposure after your injection and use sunscreen. Many patients will see visible improvements immediately following their Sculptra injections, with final results seen after several months, when the natural collagen production strengthens the complexion. When Sculptra is performed in a series of injections over the course of 3 – 4 months, your results may be visible for as long as two years.
